Residential Treatment Center (RTC) — sometimes called a rehab or inpatient treatment facility — is a live-in mental health program that provides intensive therapy and support for individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or behavioral challenges.
While many residential centers primarily focus on substance abuse recovery, there are programs in the U.S. specifically designed to treat anxiety disorders and depression. To help individuals and families find the right care, the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) has compiled a list of inpatient residential treatment centers that specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and related mood disorders. ADAA has compiled a list of those in-patient treatment centers that focus on anxiety disorders and depression. This is not a complete list and ADAA is not endorsing any of these treatment centers.

ADAA also recommends reaching out to support groups, such as ADAA's free online peer-to-peer support groups and suggest that you engage your peers for recommendations about a specific facility. There are also therapy and medication options that might be appropriate for you/your family to explore prior to seeking out in-patient residential treatment centers.
