Dealing with Stress and Depression During my Adulthood, Until Now

I'm still going through a period of intense stress and depression while juggling the demands of a challenging job, personal relationships and loneliness (isolated from everything). It felt like I was constantly swimming against the tide, struggling to keep my head above water. The stress of work deadlines, long hours, and high expectations took a toll on my mental and physical well-being.

I found myself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and emotionally drained. It became increasingly difficult to concentrate, sleep well, or enjoy the things I used to love. I used to receive pleasure from things but now I've lost complete interest in a lot of things.

I chose to overcome my stress and depression with these solutions; creating a daily routine that supports my well-being and helps me to manage stress, setting realistic goals for myself, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and celebrating small victories along the way. Therapy, lifestyle changes, and support from loved ones also played crucial roles in managing my stress levels.

Other things that have helped is engaging in volunteer work, creative pursuits, or projects that align with my values and passions. I chose to share my story with ADAA because I really want to make a difference. I want to inspire people to raise their voice and share their own stories.
