
The ADAA Awards Program expanded in 2011 to recognize member participation and commitment to the association and to the community through three awards: Jerilyn Ross Clinician Advocate Award, ADAA Members of Distinction, and Clinician Outreach Award.

This award recognizes a mid-career clinician or researcher who advances the mission of ADAA through significant service and commitment to the organization and its membership.
Award The recipient will be recognized and photographed at the Opening Session of the annual conference and be presented with a plaque.

This award acknowledges clinician members of ADAA who fulfill the public education and outreach mission of the association. It will recognize one clinician or groups of clinicians who have informed the general public or served those suffering from a specific anxiety disorder.
Activities must be novel, innovative, or related to expanding the delivery of information or clinical services. Examples of a project, service, or innovation include opening the first program in a region without mental health services for anxiety disorders; volunteering to help combat veterans overcome PTSD; conducting free mental health screenings for anxious children at a local shelter.
Award The recipients will be recognized and photographed at the Opening Session of the annual conference and be presented with a plaque.

To honor the memory and lifework of Jerilyn Ross, cofounder of the Anxiety Disorders Association of America and president from 1985 to 2010, this award will acknowledge a professional who exemplifies excellence and outstanding advocacy for patient education and care, training, and research.
Award The recipient will be recognized and photographed at the Opening Session of the annual conference and receive complimentary registration, travel, and hotel accommodations for two nights at the annual conference.
