Do you suffer from anxiety or depression? Have you not responded to treatment? If so, and you are between the ages of 18 and 70, you may be eligible to participate in a research study to assess reasons for nonresponse at the Weill Cornell Medical College-New York Presbyterian Hospital. Through this study, you may qualify for a three-month course of twice-weekly psychotherapy at no cost to you. Patients who have not responded to at least one credible trial of medication or psychotherapy will be evaluated for degree of depression, anxiety, psychosocial function, and neuroendocrine markers. Patients will be reimbursed $50.00 for this evaluation.
Patients between the ages of 18 and 70, if they have an anxiety disorder or depression that has not responded to at least one treatment intervention.
Patients who have substance dependence, bipolar disorder, or psychosis.
