
A research study comparing patients with OCD to patients with several other disorders to help us understand the differences in the neurocircuitry of the brain across disorders.
This study uses different behavioral tasks and questionnaires to measure participants’ stress reactivity, startle reflexes, and preferences. All information will be kept completely confidential.
Procedures:
1. Screening by phone
2. If potentially eligible, a psychiatric evaluation, urine test, and clinical assessments to confirm eligibility (time estimate of two hours).
3. If eligible, up to six hours of testing over two consecutive days (four hours on day 1 and two hours on day 2).
Compensation: Participants will be compensated $200 for completing all study procedures, consisting of approximately six hours of testing over two consecutive days. Additional payment of up to $85 will also be provided based on performance on one of the tasks.
