Feeling "disoriented" or "dreaming"
Does anyone ever experience feeling disoriented or like they are walking around in a "dream-like" state? Even when they are not experiencing a panic attack?
At the age of 18 I was diagnosed with panic attacks/anxiety. I've been on a low dose of Zoloft and Klonopin and take Xanax when needed. The medications have helped tremendously. I would have never gotten through college and other milestones like moving 3 hours from home and purchasing my own home without the help of these medications and excellent therapists/psychiatrist.
However, everyone once in a while my disorientation "creeps up" and lasts for a little while. I was 18 when I first experienced this. It came out of the blue and lasted for quite a few months until the medications kicked it. I was so scared that I was having this "disorientation", I would get nervous and then have a panic attack.
My question to the group is, have you experienced this "disorientation" feeling? If so, is there anything you do that helps minimize it?
Thank you!
