Methods of gaining support for dealing wiht GAD
Hello everyone!
I was diagnosed with GAD about 4 years ago and up until now I have been pretty much dealing with it on my own.
I feel so alone and up until now have preffered to deal with it on my own, however in the past 6 months have discovered that it would be a lot easier if I didn't. My family isn't really that supportive of it so I'd rather not ask them for help. They have a habit of" sweeping things under the rug" one that has become my habit too. I don't hate them I just want to not feel alone or rejected. I need to feel supported. Not needy since I consider myself a pretty strong willed and independent person. Long story short I would like advice on how to get support from dealing with this. I am between 21-30 and also have a diagnoses of depression. my email is poetry87myspace [at] yahoo [dot] com

Did u find any support?
I am wondering, did you get any support or find anything to help? I am trying to find someone to talk to about my GAD. I am 42 and have had it for as long as I can remember. I thought I had it under control for a while, but it is back. I am seeing my GP tomorrow because I have been seeing her for migraines for over a year now and I have finally discovered they are coming from my GAD.
