High Anxiety? Participate in ADAA's First-Ever National Stress Øut Week

Everyone gets stressed out from time to time. National Stress Øut Week (November 7-14) is a time for people to de-stress, relax and learn about the differences between normal anxiety and anxiety disorders. Highlights of the ADAA’s first-ever National Stress Øut Week include:

  • Results of the ADAA’s first-ever stress and anxiety poll will be released and published in Self magazine’s November issue

  • ADAA’s new National Stress Øut Week website (launching Oct. 24) will feature stress management tips and other helpful tools to help you learn more about anxiety and anxiety disorders

  • DC-area Natural Body Spa & Shoppes will be donating proceeds from several products and services to ADAA during National Stress Øut Week (November 7-14) and will be selling ADAA’s TRIUMPH awareness bands

  • ADAA CEO and President, Jerilyn Ross, will speak at both Natural Body locations (Arlington and Potomac)

Best in America!
‘Tis the Season for Giving

The Fall marks the beginning of most workplace giving campaigns. ADAA is pleased to participate nationwide via the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC reaches those who work in the federal government and military. State and local government employees may also participate through state campaigns. All contributions help the ADAA advance research, provide critical educational resources and continue to connect those who suffer from anxiety disorders with the help that is available. In addition to the CFC, many independent corporations also hold workplace giving campaigns during the fall and winter months. Be sure to select ADAA as your charity of choice. ADAA is grateful to our past supporters, and hope you and others will continue to choose ADAA.

If your organization is not part of the CFC, you can still help ADAA! Write in ADAA as your charity of choice if applicable on your workplace giving campaign or you can donate directly online.

Help ADAA Voice the Need for Mental Health Parity

As part of the Mental Health Liasion Group, ADAA is among numerous organizations that are teaming together to renew a national push for Congress to pass mental health parity legislation (H.R. 1402). ADAA encourages you to take action to help this objective, by calling 1-866-parity4 (1-866-727-4894), to call your Representative to urge cosponsorship of the new House mental health parity legislation.
