Panic and Phobias
My name is Tara and I have had Panic/Anxiety disorder for 17 years. I have seen lots of Therapists, doctors, counslers, etc. None of which have helped. I have been on every medication you can think of. I've tried breathing techniques and relaxation techniques. I even went as far as listening to expensive CD's on conquering anxiety. Nothing has helped and I am getting worse every year. I feel like my life is consumed with fear and worry. Im tired of living this way. I cant seem to find a therapist who can help. I've wasted soo much money over the years looking for some sort of relief. My marriage is ending now, and Im entering a phase in my life that is unfamiliar to me. For people with anxiety, that is terrifying! I even tried to find a therapist in my area through this site and it comes up " no matches found". Im soo frustrated! Can anyone lend me some tips to cope? I live in Philadelphia PA. if anyone knows of a therapist that I havent tried yet.... thanks for listening

Trying to help
You can go to Amazon.com and get some self-help books on anxiety/panic attacks. I have really bad anxiety because I had a parent with BPD and they seem to help me. You can join support groups in your area as well. Also, try and think of the thought you were thinking of right before the panic attack happened and try and evaluate why it made you have anxiety. I would suggest carrying around a journal and keeping track of your thoughts so you can keep track of them and compare them later.
Maybe you can try hypnosis. (?)
That's the best advice I can give. I hope this helps.<3
