Use of ADAA message boards should not take the place of consultation with your health care provider. Do not alter your treatment plan or stop taking your medication without first consulting your health care provider(s).

All information posted on ADAA message boards is the opinion of the author and does not represent views of ADAA. Discussion of any particular medication or treatment strategy on these boards does not indicate endorsement from ADAA.

Message boards are not regularly monitored for inappropriate postings, and posted messages are not edited. However, ADAA reserves the right to remove postings it believes to be inappropriate, inaccurate, or in conflict with the views of ADAA without prior consent from the author.

Inappropriate postings include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Derogatory or offensive remarks directed towards other message board users
  • Messages used to encourage illegal activities
  • Sexual content
  • Messages that appear to impersonate a person or entity or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
  • Messages that contain advertising, product promotion, promotion of professional services, clinical trials, or links

Information posted on ADAA message boards is not confidential. All messages posted may be read by message board users. Messages are the property of ADAA and may be used for other purposes without prior consent.

ADAA shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or other damages arising out of any individual's use of, or inability to use, the information on the message boards. By using this site, users shall indemnify and hold ADAA, its staff, and agents harmless from and against any liability, claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses relating to any acts or omissions by users or to materials or information transmitted by users in connection with the use of the web site.
