Jonathan Abramowitz, PhDProfessor and Associate Chair of Psychology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Director, UNC Anxiety and Stress Disorders Clinic

Dr. Abramowitz’s research and clinical interests focus on understanding and treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other anxiety disorders such as panic attacks, phobias, and intense health anxiety. He is also committed to training future clinical psychologists how to understand, study, and effectively treat these problems.

Before joining the UNC faculty in 2006, Dr. Abramowitz was director of the Anxiety Disorders Program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

He has been an ADAA member since 2001.
