Anxiety disorders are real, serious, and treatable conditions, if diagnosed. Finding the right health professional to treat you or talk to you about the symptoms you might be experiencing is important. The person you choose should be qualified to treat anxiety problems, and you should feel at ease with him or her.

There is a wide range of health professionals who are trained to treat anxiety disorders including: psychiatrists; psychologists; clinical social workers; therapists; psychiatric nurses; counselors; and primary care physicians.
